Coastal Bermuda grass has proven to be effective
for satisfying the forage needs of the equine market. Coastal provides the crude protein content, total digestible nutrients,
stem and leaf structure, necessary to satisfy horse owners.
Our standard product is small square bales that are 18" X 36". We bale, using Hesston 4590 bailers with 2 strand
poly twine. All hay is cut at mature height weather permitting, we tedder no less than twice for proper curing, limit moisture
levels to prevent molding, bale and store in barns the day of bailing. No bales are left in the field over night. All baled
hay is picked up with a S1049 New Holland Bale Wagon in 160 bale stacks and stored in weather protected hay barns.
Hay fields receive an appropriate amount
of nitrogen and fertilizer fillers after each cutting and each field is tested to verify PH levels in order to keep the crude
proteins and nutrients of every bale to the highest hay standards.
Crude Protien test results can be provided upon request.
